Both programs are delivered online and fully self-paced — study on a computer, phone, or tablet, whenever and wherever suits you. Each includes NASM’s digital textbook, video lessons, practice quizzes, and exam preparation. Most students complete the CPT first, then move to the CNC while their training knowledge is fresh — but the order is yours to choose. Each credential has its own exam. The NASM-CPT exam: 120 questions, a two-hour limit, and a 70% scaled score to pass. The NASM CNC exam: 100 multiple-choice questions, 90 minutes, open-book. SHAPE’s program prepares you for both — you sit each exam ready.
